You must visit me a bazaar when you go to Dubai. There loads of shops for Indian outfits, sprees, and material. The shops will also recommend a tailor. You will need to use your bartering skills. Watch out for people selling copy items like watches, bags, perfumes

The Mina Bazar is an ethnic Indian shopping area where almost all the shops cater to ethnic wear and jewelry items. Very dense, cramped but lot of varieties, lot of street food, but parking is a pain.

Visiting Meena Bazaar has same experience that of any Indian market. People speak hindi and you get all the items for shopping as in any Indian market. The shops selling gold jewelry have many designs not seen in India and is much cheaper than in India.

I guess its okay for a visit but be careful. The touts approach you all the time and try to take you to shops where they are on a commision. But is you want cheap tat ,go to Al Fahidi and the Day to Day store. You will find all the tat they sell in the markets but at 1/4... More

As one walks through the old market of Meena Bazar, it is striking to see colorful Indian clothes and jewellery shops reminding of a truly Indian market!

I was vacationing in Dubai and came to know about Santoba Tailors while browsing the things to do in Dubai for my holidays. So just thought give it a try and went to the store with my Family /Kids. Pretty much impressed with the customer service , quality of the cloth and stitching style. Normally we try different brands for... More

This is little India in Dubai. Mumbai without noise and dirt !! Everything Indian is available here. You could think you were in India until you notice the mostly Philipino workers at most outlets. An abundance of indian jewellery shops, restaurants and fashion spots.

Too many vendors selling same stuff. Annoyingly hassled every 10 feet with the same pashmina shawl sellers, or copy watch scammers. Definitely not nice to be grabbed as you walk down the street. Shame for the guys trying to make a sale as the competition is too many. Need some rules laid down.

I used to visit this place very often. Whenever I go, I feel like I am in my home country because many people and shops are from my country. They own electronics shops, cloth shops and gold jewellery and silver shops.etc.,.I fell like its a mini Mumbai.I feel very happy to be there.

Staying in The Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
