The area
Neighbourhood: Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.

There is little to say, it is one of the largest shopping centers in the world ... and here everything is at the top.
Inside there is a museum, an ice rink, access to the Burj Khalifa, the famous aquarium and every day is a surprise to discover.
The first time you enter you really get lost, also because it does not seem logic helps since for example the subway does not reach it from the ground floor or basement but from the second (because you get there from the suspended pedestrian tunnels)
Inside there are also electric VIP cars that can help you move (given the distances) especially in case of purchases.
Useful information totems that will show you the fastest way to get from where you are to what you need.
I went there practically every day even just for lunch because there are several food areas with international food at prices for all budgets
Excellent free wifi connectivity throughout the...
Turning it discover waterfalls, works of art, an art museum, the chinatown neighborhood and much more ... there is a lot to walk ...
The shops are all at the top, honestly in some the presence of too many staff that as soon as you enter asks if you need it has bothered me to the point that I did not even enter it anymore.
My advice is to turn.. turn.. turn...

The only negative thing, in my opinion the bathrooms are too few and a bit too difficult to find given the size and number of visitors ... especially in certain areas

On the spot we do not realize the xxxxl of this shopping center. We keep going upstairs to finally park on the top floor by air on the 11th so we think it's pharaonic anyway.
Inside obviously an anthill.
At first complicated to move then quickly you understand the mechanism of sectors / zones and you walk without fear of getting lost.
After that it's a Cc with 1200 shops and excessive rates. We spent 3 hours on site and saw the indoor ice rink, this is more than enough unless you are a shopping enthusiast plan the minimum full day.

Huge mall but expensive - not too many places to eat and no great food court as in most malls anywhere. Cafes and restaurants are scattered around Starbucks has 8 - eight! venues. There are lots of Concierges who are available to direct you to whatever store or attraction you want - but be prepared to walk and walk and walk… On the ground floor of course is the entrance to the Burj Khalifa - check with one of the concierges who are near the check in counter before you line up in the wrong line and waste a lot of time before you are told which line to get in depending on what ticket you buy - Premium ticket is by far the best. I was surprised that the mall had many of the mainline stores from other countries such as in UK and Canada and the States. Make sure you get a mall directory brochure - that really helped us find our way around. Also, most taxis aren’t allowed to drop off in front of the mall - so you have to make sure to get the right taxi - we got left outside a hotel initially and didn’t know to make sure the driver wasn’t just dumping us off. Didn’t happen twice!

This was my Day 2 of Dubai Trip where I explored the Sunrise from Burj Khalifa and then Dubai Aquarium inside the mall. It was time to explore the Dubai Mall and it was huge. Personally I won’t recommend doing shopping here until and unless you are into luxury shopping and the main motive to come to Dubai is just shopping. I didn’t see much offers on any of the brands. But these are the free things which you shouldn’t miss - Exploring the falls inside the mall and the fountain show which starts at 6 PM and goes on until 11 PM with half an hour gap. Total show is for 3-4 mins and beware of the huge crowd there.

Beautiful place, lots of shops, good selection of brands. Lots of restaurants, lots of Russians. Russian maps, gazprom unionpay has not passed anywhere. Prices are higher than in the US and Europe, many just stagger around the mall, hide from the heat.
Seats to watch the fountain show should take an hour for 1.5 in the cafe near, better on the other side of the mall pool. Entrance to the Burj Khalifa directly from the mall, tickets are better taken in advance in Russia yet, as they are not in place day in day out.

were family in July, there was a daily transfer from the hotel to Dubai Mall, so about the taxi, on the grand parking mostly lexuses, for example to the park white 250 -300 dirhams requested, if catching a taxi at the bottom of the parking lot where buses, there cheaper but they smash the cash, card payment do not wish to accept, in the very Dubai said there is parking under the grand parking by signs can pass, there as at the airport ribbons are strung and queue to exit to the taxi, and here is the most common city taxi counter payment by card, all there. for example on frame 32 dirhams the trip was worth. the price with taxi drivers must be checked before boarding and about payment by card check on the spot. wish everyone a triple rest, be attentive and communicative.

You definitely need more than a few hours, or even days, to explore the whole mall. Its size is just too big. You can find literally everything you can imagine of, and it's really easy to get lost. It's a good thing that they have maps almost everywhere, so you can see where you are.

Luxurious mall with huge area and many shops. Visited this shopping center with the family, a fantastic shopping center with its own app on the phone, this should be used during the visit, as the shopping center is so large that one must have a map for navigation. Extremely clean and neat, friendly staff and friendly service made our visit perfect.
Entrance to Burj Khalifa on the ground floor.
The mall also houses a large aquarium and waterfalls with associated art.
An experience to experience even though the price level was high in the stores.
Right outside the mall is the famous fountain show with Burj Khalifa in the background. Fantastic.
