My Trip to Bollywood Park
Aug 2021 • Family
I went with my wife and 3 children to Bollywood park, it was absolutely amazing. I am a disabled wheelchair user and was helped as much as possible to enjoy the attractions.
We had dinner at Victoria Station Restaurant, it was amazing. We were served by Abishek, he was so helpful exchanging some of the items we didn't want. The food was so delicious and the portions were huge, in fact too much to finish. I would highly recommend Bollywood Park to anyone visiting Dubai.

Must go if you like Indian film industry!
Jun 2021
I have visited to this spark with my wife and spend a long time with superior attractions and places to feel the Indian film industry.

If you like the Indian/Bollywood films, you should visit this place !
You will feel all kind of scenes, be a part of film actors/makers, Enjoy many 7D attractions ( as you are in the movie ) and of course many awesome Indian concerts in RadjMahal teatre.

Special Thanks to staff for such a super service !

Bollywood Park is an awesome place to visit! I started coming here soon after it opened a few years back, (can't specifically remember when exactly). It's part of the group of hospitality and entertainment facilities that constitute Dubai Parks & Resorts; which is made up of Legoland Park, Motiongate, Lapita Hotel, Riverland and Legoland Waterpark. Though a phenomenal place to visit, I've noticed that out of the above mentioned parks, Bollywood Park seems to be the least visited and/or isn't as popular as the two Legolands and Motiongate. Perhaps because it limited to one specific theme, even though we're talking about the world's biggest movie industry.

I can't begin to describe how 'visually stunning' this place is! 😲 No doubt that nobody does "color" & "vibrancy" more than Hindi culture; that's something I think that all people will a 100%, hands-down agree with! When you walk into this gorgeous park, the first thing you will notice is a sort of mural of tiny mosaic like tiles, located high above the main entrance
with the images of several Bollywood greats- past and present. There are 4 in total. One has a picture of Alia Batt, Hrithik Roshan, Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh. Another has John Abraham, Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Ajay Degvan & Kangana Ranaut. The third one has Tiger Schroff, Aishwarya Rai Bachan, Amir Khan, Shridevi, Aksay Kumar & Kareena Kapoor. And last, (but certainly not least), the 'Creme De La Creme' of Bollywood: RISHI KAPOOR, MADHURI DIXIT, AMITABH BACHAN, HEMA MALINI, ANIL KAPOOR & REKHA! I just had to capitalize these names as a sign of respect to these incredible movie luminaries! Just seeing the images of these glorious, epic, legendary, classic Actors & Actresses always puts me in a tranquil mood and transports me back to a wonderful childhood filled with pleasant memories of watching Indian movies! I grew up on this stuff, so Bollywood Park will always hold a special place in my heart! 🤩

Though not too big, Bollywood Park has a decent number of rides and attractions for both adults, children and families. It's important to note that everything here revolves around Indian movies, so this, (and only this) theme is retained for all the rides and entertainment. There's a Bollywood Film Studios section that includes the 'Hall Of Heroes'. There are 2 cool, thrilling rides inside this hall, including RA ONE UNLEASHED & KRRISH HERO'S FLIGHT- all based on the action movies of the same name. In this section, you have ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA, which is an interactive movie making experience, where you get to view and participate in how movies are made, cut, edited, etc. Though a bit long, it's a fun and interesting process to partake in, and also based on that exact movie, which is an adveo
nture flick that partly takes place in Spain. I really enjoyed it the 3 times I got to go in.

The other rides throughout the Bollywood Park include DON THE CHASE, LAGAAN (THRILL OF VICTORY) in the CHAMPANER CRICKET CARNIVAL section, with GAURI'S CAROUSEL & BHUVAN'S WHEEL (both kid's rides). Lagaan- based on the movie of course, is my favorite ride at Bollywood Park! There's also SHOLAY (THE HUNT FOR GABAAR SINGH), a family shooting ride that sends chills down my spine every time I see the name, because the movie made me cry so much as a child, being that my hero, (Amitabh Bachan's character) dies at the end. Bollywood Park also has a number of good eateries, even though I must say that the selections and choices aren't very varied. These include Jumbo Cafe and Spicy Dhaba. There's also an adorable restaurant inside what looks like a train. Most of the culinary choices at Bollywood Park are limited to Indian food and street snacks, so it might not appeal to a wide range of palettes.

I haven't been to Bollywood Park in over a year and a half, so it isn't any wonder that there are a lot of new rides here since the last time I visited. These include BOLLYWOOD SKYFLYER, (an extremely high swinging ride), TAXI NO. 1 and KA ABRA DABRA. There was also a whole brand, spanking new area that has 4 nice family rides. This new section/area is called MELA JUNCTION. The rides here are HAWA HAWAI (a flying ride where you lie flat on your stomach), MONSOON MASTI (a ride on water), RODEO KI SAWARI (a spinning ride) and WHEEL OF STARS (ferris wheel). Wheel of Stars was closed when we visited this time, perhaps due to Covid-19 restrictions. The Bollywood Souk Bazaar has lots of lovely Indian and Bollywood-Inspired memorabilia, toys, clothes, gifts items, and memorable collectibles for you to purchase. The Bollywood Boulevard Stage has the Grand Parade at select times, where there are titillating choreographed dance sessions from all corners of India! About 2 other locations throughout the park also host this exciting, up beat dance numbers featuring talented dancers and entertainers. We didn't see any dancing this time around, perhaps so that crowds don't huddle together because of Covid-19 protocols of social distancing.

I have to give an 'honorable mention' to the breathtakingly beautiful RAJ MAHAL THEATER! This epic, regal, enormous theater can seat almost 900 people. It is a gorgeous, gorgeous building that appears to be made from white marble. The interior has ornate, heavy, gold accents and rich, intricate Indian art and festive mosaics. During my earlier visits to Bollywood Park, there was a show called JAAN E JIGAR that used to be a feature in Raj Mahal Theater. This was a 2 hour plus long Broadway/West End style musical extravaganza! Though you had to purchase the tickets for the show at an additional fee, since it wasn't part of the entrance price, it was money well spent I tell you! This show was da bomb! It was phenomenal, compelling, entertaining and action-packed. Jaan E Jigar told a story revolving around 2 brothers: Jaan and Jigar and the age old battle of Good vs. Evil. This incredible entertainment piece was jam-packed with amazing costumes, mind-blowing props, fantastic special effects and superb acting from the performers. It was my single most favorite thing about Bollywood Park, and I was absolutely devastated to find out that it has since been discontinued! This really crushed me to pieces!😢 Why on earth would they do something like this?!?! 😡 It was touted for a long time as the Middle East's first Broadway-like show, so I'm sure it was something that lots of people looked forward to and subsequently enjoyed. Jaan E Jigar was the best experience at Bollywood Park, and I'm so bummed to see it go! 😭

It's worth mentioning that there are 2 other shows in Bollywood Park that have also been discontinued. Firstly, there was an X-Factor/AGT/BGT/The Voice type show that used to be featured once a day inside the Raj Mahal Theater, where spectators- (Bollywood Park visitors), got to watch a number of performers dance and/or sing- along with 3 judges on a panel, and would then vote for the winner. Can't remember the name, but whatever happened to that show as well??? 🤔 Secondly, you had the DABANGG STUNT SPECTACULAR. This was another thrilling, jump-out-of-your seat live action show that had it's own large section in the park. It has the perfect setting of an abandoned warehouse with empty wooden crates and oil drums. Dabangg is based on actor Salman Khan's live hit show of the same name. It's your stereotypical Bollywood storyline, where a cop sets out to rescue a damsel-in-distress, an all too familiar plot in these type of movies. This heart pumping, adrenaline-filled show was great; so action packed and exiciting! It felt as if you had been 'teleported' into a movie, what with the typical singing & dancing numbers, over the top drama/emotion, legendary fight scenes, (with those awesome sound effects we've come to love and appreciate so much!). This was another 'part' of Bollywood Park that I was soooooooooo sad to see go! 😔 In fact, it looked like the warehouse where it used to be held at has been permanently sealed off.

I think it's crystal clear that from my 'graphic' description of this awesome park that I am indeed a big fan of it. However, I cannot in good faith and conscience give it an excellent rating. Just like I did with my review of Motiongate, being that a significant amount of 'entertainment features' have been discontinued since my earlier days of frequenting Dubai Parks & Resorts, I have to go with the next best rating. Why was Jaan E Jigar, The Dabangg Stunt Spectacular and the other music judging show inside Raj Mahal Theater discontinued? I wonder why. Is it that Bollywood Park isn't doing so well from a profit point of view, or are there not enough visitors to justify having shows and entertainment pieces like these, or is it because of covid? These shows started to dwindle away over time. This didn't just happen overnight. They slowly started to 'phase' them out over the years. I for one will say that it is super frustrating to drive all the way to Dubai Parks & Resorts, expecting to see very special shows like Jaan E Jigar and Dabanng in Bollywood Park, and then be informed that they have been suspended or stopped altogether. This is what I was initially told about both Jaan E Jigar and Dabangg, and now both seem to be completely gone! It's very, very disappointing and disheartening!!! 👎🏽

One of the things that cheered me up a bit was seeing all the fun rides at the new MELA JUNCTION area that I mentioned above, and the BOMBAY EXPRESS- currently under construction. The Bombay Express was advertised as ''World Record Rollercoaster!'', and it had a sign saying 'coming soon'. I wonder what this 'record' means? This is definitely something to look forward to. I hope it means that when I do eventually return, some of the shows I love at Bollywood Park would have returned as well. So in conclusion, I am one of those people that will no doubt have a deep love and appreciate for a Bollywood inspired theme park for 'nostalgic' purposes. Though I no longer watch Bollywood movies; (t'was a thing of the past), I will always have an affinity for the 'classics', so they already have a special place in my heart and this theme park represents that and so much more for me! ❤ It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to see the posters of some of my favorite movies like Amar, Akhbar, Anthony! 😆 I cannot hide my sadness in seeing the shows I talked about discontinued, and it feels as if something is essentially 'lost' in Bollywood Park. However, this place remains a superb place to visit; even if your not a fan of Indian cinema; especially when with family. The kaleidoscopic fusion and explosion of the enigmatic colors and regions of India are effortlessly showcased in this fantastic place, and it is definitely worth visiting. I just hope and pray that the 'one time' splendour and glory of Bollywood Park will once again be restored in the spirit of those magnificent shows.......I'm soooo keeping my fingers crossed that this eventually happens! 🤞🏽 Bollywood comes highly, highly, highly recommended by me! 👍🏽 Please make sure you endeavor to visit this fabulous entertainment complex whenever you come to Dubai Parks & Resorts!!! Thanks for reading! 🙋🏾‍♀️

Overpriced
Feb 2021 • Friends
Nice place for families. We enjoyed our time but sadly most of the rides are closed. The Riverland part was my favorite after motion gate. It doesn't feel like you are in dubai or the middle east. It literally reminds of some the beautiful villages in Munich and Germany. A lot of the restaurants are closed due to lack of customers and covid. It's sad to see such a place empty but idv o blame marketing for that. Now the prices are way too high even with the buy 1 get 1 free offers.
Most of the rides are closed and even the rides majority of them are what you can find at global village and other places. Hardly any ride that's unique. The show at bollywood was fun. The motion gate was nice and decoration was great. Didn't go to Lego land as it's for kids mainly. But I can't wait till the hotel opens so I can give it a try.

Honestly , I did not like the place
Too pricey for the attraction it has to offer
Not much to explore
Somewhat found it boring and not worth the price .
Would not recommend if you want to go easy on the pocket , many other places to visit in Dubai this would never be again on my list .

A slightly different theme park
Jun 2019
This might be a place to visit for the people who are in love with Bollywood movies. This Park was well planned and well organized. The main attraction of this park was its entrance. It was very spacious and well designed. Also, I liked the way they welcome the tourist.

A slightly different park where you will find live performances from great artists in a stage show everything is a treat to watch and we can dance if we want.

There are many shows and many events exciting rides based on popular animations and Bollywood films. There was a session on movie making where everyone gets to be part of the movie.

There are shows with stunts, dance, and drama. If you are a Hindi movie buff you'll see names of a lot of different movies all around the place.
