Reminiscent of the Arabian nights fairytales, this vibrant marketplace with multi-storied mud brick and stone buildings sells everything from textiles and sparkling silver and gold ornaments to spices and honey.

This is a nice place with few historic places to go. A lot of shopping places with nice economic options. When in Jeddah do visit for shopping.

Balad itself means Town, so this is the equivalent of any Old town in any city with traditional shopping areas, Gold shopping and money exchange. Good to visit and dining is available also around.

Go back in history to see how the people of Jeddah lived, worked and survived. Walk in the streets and taste freshly baked bread the old fashioned way. Stop at small boutiques and visit art gallerias. A trip that will meet your expectations.

A beautiful old city with markets and buildings hundreds of years old. Very picturesque and easy on the eye contrasting the modern construction surrounding it. Must visit for shopping and just for nothing...
