We heard that this is the biggest Wat (temple) in Luang Prabang. Its a temple complex and not just a single temple. Good praying area and architecture
Wat Mai is located beside The former Royal Paace of Luang Prabang. For sure Wat Mai has stunning dhammsala (praying area). If you visit this Wat just before sunset, usually there will be Bhikkhus inside the dhammsala reading a Buddhist bible.
The design and the Architecture are simply amazing and very majestic. Located just a few walks before the Royal Palace.Very Historical Wat and must visit by every history and temples lover.
The 3 tier roofing set this temple apart from the numerous ones in Luang Prabang. It is also accessible by foot and the ambiance is relaxing even though its quite near downtown.
