I love a local market anywhere in the world and with this one I was not disappointed. The smells of the herbs were amazing. Some local delicacies - dead birds, crispy deep fried rats, grubs! Vegetables and fruit looked amazing.

This is a wonderful morning market where the locals shop. Simply outstanding fresh produce and lots of delicious items to eat. Don't miss out - must see experience in Luang Prabang!

Cheap and tasty local food to be had here. If you want to shop and can't wait for the night market then be prepared to haggle hard to get that T-shirt at the right price

After giving alms to the monks, we went to the morning market. This was one of the nicest and freshest that we had seen in SE Asia. The people are not pushy and everything is fresh and tasty.

This has some fresh fish along with the fruit stands. It’s well worth a trip through as it really is a bit different than the other markets.
