Not interesting. Nothing spectacular. I spent 1.5 days in Mandalay. This is the first place i visited and kind of disappointed when comparing to palace in other countries.

It is a must visit location in city, it gives the real feel of the history of the city, there is a view tower from there you can see the full palace area.

being in the middle of an army camp as a foreigner you have to sign in, pay a fee !!! (all other historic buildings are included - although we were never asked to produce said ticket in any other building) and hand over your passport...More
