Although not too large, it had many fabulous treasures of ancient Egypt. It is a gorgeous place and things are put together very well. So glad we got to visit.

Our tour guide took us to this excellent museum. It's located in an old villa formerly owned by a wealthy family, and it's easy to see how this was a home in the past. Be sure to start in the basement in the mummy room....More

I thought that this museum did a very good job of telling the story of Egypt from the time of the pharaohs, thru the Roman/Grecian occupation, to modern times. Nicely set on three floors, be sure to check out the tomb in the basement!
