If you have a half day to spend, this monument deserves a trip. I am not sure that restoration works have been done properly, but it is a pretext to remember the Romanian history and, in this part of the country, this is an issue....More

This monument comemorates Traian's Emperor victory over the Dacians in the year of 102. Although recently renovated, the monument seems to be forsaken. No other facilities around, no food, no restrooms, nothing but wilderness.

I went there with my father who is an archaeologist so he's had a story to tell about it. It's an impressive monument and if you have a passion for history it's a must-see.

Been here on a sunny day the place looks extraordinary. Is a great location to see some roman art. This monument is "the birth certificate of the Romanian people".

This monument is fully redone, with only a small section of the original structure visible. To some, it may be lovely, so new and bright white, standing out by itself and easily seen from quite a distance. But I think the "restoration" ruined the ruin!
