It is a landmark in Sibiu and a little off the square and is impressive but not a spectacular as some other churches in Europe. Worth a visit.

The Evangelical Cathedral in Sibiu is one of the town's landmarks. Some of it's interesting features are: the perpendicular roofing of the lateral halls, the baptismal font said to be cast from a canon, the wooden altar (rather minimalist, compared to the more decorated winged altars of other Transylvanian Saxon town churches), and the stone grave covers of those buried... This Cathedral with its colored roof reminded me a bit of Saint Stephen's Cathedral from Vienna, but definitely not that special or impressive inside. Still, it's worth visiting for the panoramic view from the tower, as it's the highest point in the Old Historic Center of Sibiu. the climbing and descending can be a little challenging at times, but the... The tower is a great place to view the city from. Lots of stairs so be aware. There are several platforms to break up the climb so it was not too bad. There are four viewing points so make sure to see the views from all. Interesting to see how the clay roof tiles are attached. Loved it!

The church is very colorful and has some interesting architectural features. I am sure that the inside is nice, but given the limited area of where tourist are usually permitted, the entry price to view a public church seemed a little high for me to go inside and take a look around.

Well worth to visit the Cathedral of Saxons. Besides the cathedral itself, there are gravestones, statues and some contemporary art on display. The view form the tower is magnificient. This is the highest point of the city and not only the whole city but also the surroundings (including the mountains around) are visible. Prepare for a small antry fee.

Accessible by stairs (one could find it really hard especially in case of feeling uncomfortable climbing narrow stairs) this is must see in case you want to see the city from above. If you are lucky to have good weather and clean skies, you might have the chance to see the city with the majestic Fagaras Mountain in the background.... More

Very nice views of the town. Climbing up the tower (200 stairs) is not too difficult. There are 4 small view points at the top, where you can open a window in order to take photos.

You able to climb the tower was allows for a great view of the city. During the climb up you able to get a close look at church bells. There was someone playing the organ while there which was wonderful.

Go up to the tower. The view is amazing and worth the climb. The price for entrance and climb is 8 lieh.
