Visited the Zoo as it was very near our hotel (Hilton Sibiu). Very good variety of animals and you can get extremely close to the cages (I assume this is safe as long as you are sensible). The animals had quite good space for the most part, but a few were in slightly small cages such as one of the... More

Zoo was a plesant surprise. I used to remember it small, with poor animals and bad smell everywhere. They invested some money and animal enclosures are new and big animals have big enclosures. New pavilions for monkeys, birds and reptiles. Diversity is rather limited but you can find a little of everything. Animals look very well. Bears were huge. All... More

Even if not so big, this is a good place to visit at Sibiu. Entry tickets are so less compared to other places. The animals have big cages and seems to be well feed. It is like a big park where small boating also arranged for visitors.

this zoo is really very small. there were a lot of reconstructions in the last time. if you are looking for a short walk - go there very cheap (3RON/person)

Located in Dumbrava forest, next to larger Astra open-air village museum, the little zoo is nice and tidy and makes the best of its surroundings. The list of animals is limited. No interracion. No thrills.

This zoo isn't very big but is a good place to be visited în Sibiu. The prices are only 3 lei for adults and 2 lei for kids. The animals have big cages and seems to be well feed. It is like a big park who has a small lake where you can ride a boat.

We went with an open mind to this budget zoo but really enjoyed it, the animals seemed well cared for and there was plenty to do. What made it funny is the Romanians don't really like to obey warning signs, especially do not feed the animals. Everybody was feeding the monkeys and other animals crisps, popcorn, baguettes, Cheerios and Fanta... More

- location was good - animals seemed to have larger spaces comparing with the Zoo from Bucharest but the number of species is much lower - it was very hot outside and didn't see many animals, they preferred to stay inside
