Situated in the old town of Plovdiv, first the building is a very interesting architecture. Inside there are a lot of art effects from different periods of time, mainly in the Plovdiv region. Do spend some time to learn more about the history.

What better way to learn about a culture of a certain place than to visit an ethnographic museum? Coupled with a lovely garden which regularly plays host to an array of exhibition adds to the experience.

The museum is a must to be seen by travelers interested in architecture. Ottoman influence is lesser than in many of the town with a strong proper bulgarian presence. As for the museum it is not the kind of place you visit twice. It has to be rethought, upgraded and then it could become very good. Presently it is heavy... More

You'll be able to see more from folklore clothing around Plovdiv area and the way people lived here in the 18th and 19th centuries. Not a "must see", but its good to spend some time

This palace-looking house deserves all your attention! Symetric style, typical for Bulgarian Revival period, green and beautiful yard and tranquillity which can provoke so many thoughts about "the good old days". Don't miss it!

This museum highlights mostly wardrobes from the past while old farmstools, potteries as well as metalworks are also showcased. Its imposing facade is very elegant in purple and gold. Though the wooden structures have become rickety over time, its ceilings depicts ornate designs. Its a short tour though and worth the hike.

Loved this house. Lots of rooms with interesting history. I think it cost around 5lev to enter, which is very cheap and worth it.

This is a museum of all aspects of old Bulgarian life: costumes, art, music, furniture, crafts, farming, etc. Allow about an hour. Very interesting, and the whole exhibition has a very friendly feel to it.
