It's a little tucked away but make sure you go here. This was my favourite church in Lviv. The atmosphere inside is very restful and although maybe it's not the most ornate church in Lviv the frescos are unique and outstanding, they appear to look right into you and are most unlike any frescos I have seen before, particularly St... Amazing place, with unusual wall paints presenting ghosts. Unusual combination of bisantic with roman architecture. Possibility to buy same souvenirs inside.

Tucked away in a neighborhood adjacent to the city square lies this gem of a church. The first thing you notice while walking in is the ethereal lighting effect through the windows on the right, making you feel you are having a true religious experience! The wall murals are colorful and stunning, and you could easily spend an hour hear... More

Armenian Virgin Mary's Dormition Church is not far from Market Square (Rynok Square). It is free to enter, but you need to pay if you want to see more. I particularly like the paintings on the walls in this church. I think there are some mysteries in them and it's very interesting to guess.

Originally built in the14th century, the church was almost extinguished by fire in 1527 and was later restored. Inside one can find beautiful and unusual interior (compared with "regular" orthodox chuches). Decorated domes and the 18th-century wooden altar are especially impressive.
