Reconstructions are still on the way
Jan 2020
Only God knows when reconstructions inside will be finished. This is the ''Ukrainian Army Church'' now, with hundreds of photos of killed in Donbass war soldiers displayed inside. In my opinion, this Church is not for visitors who want some relaxation, because you can't think of peace, or pray quietly, when seeing these photos.

Ukrainian Army Church with a ''Long Live Ukraine'' theme inside.
Nov 2019
They've been changing Jesuit Church interior into Ukrainian Army Church. Also it's been a lot of work of Restoration underway. So you're not going to see a very spectacular view inside the Church. Instead, you'll see a lot of photos of Ukrainian soldiers and officers who died in the Donbass War; exhibition of icons, made by people with Canser to buy; asking for money boxes to be able to continue with the Church restoration.

Beautiful, calm and ornamental place for prayers and reflection
Aug 2019
Monumental historical catholic church located just of the corner of main square with beautiful exterior and touching interior oltars ,paintings and decorations.
A lot of individuals, tourist groups and others coming here for quiet prayers and meditations.Holy mass is celebrated about 10 times a day in polish and ukrainian.
This is one of the most memorable places to see in the city.

A beautiful church in cental Lviv under going long term reservation.
Sep 2019
Lviv is famous for its many churches, most of which have been restored and are in beautiful condition. The Church of Jesuits is under going rennovation -- as it was five years ago when we last visited. The interior of the church has a lot of scaffolding, but it is still both a functioning church and a tourist destination. As of September 2019 on the left side of the church as you walk in, there is an exhibit dedicated to the war in the East with Russia. In addition to photos of the fallen and debries from the battlefield, there is a touching photo exhibit featuring portraits of the children of fallen soldiers with quotes about their fallen parents. This is worth a visit.

Beautiful church
Aug 2019 • Couples
When in Lviv you will not be short of churches to look at. This is a beautiful example both inside and out. Highly decorative with paintings and detail on every wall. There was a service going on when I visited so I didn’t stay long, this is still an active church that gets very busy for services. There are crypts which you can go down for 20hr. Didn’t go in as I was unsure what is actually down there as all bodies had to be moved a couple of hundred years ago due to sanitation concerns. Probably some tunnels and caves. A must see church when in Lviv.

A stark reminder of what has happened/is happening in eastern Ukraine
Sep 2018 • Friends
A beautiful church which is under renovation. But look beyond the scaffolding and see something much, much more important than the ornate arches and images of the Virgin Mary.

Photo after photo of brave young men, many of them volunteers, who have fallen in the name of independence just a few short months/years ago. A shrine, of shrapnel, shells, bullet holed personal possessions - a stark reminder of the people who supposedly like to visit Salisbury Cathedral. You get my drift.

This Garrison Church has seen many sad funerals and doubtless there will be a few more....

I "donated" a few pounds and in exchange received a beautiful, artisan decorated bullet casing, which will remind me in years to come of the sacrifice these ordinary people have made in the cause of democracy and freedom.

I ask everybody to go to the Church of the Jesuits and pay your respects lest we forget.
