Lovely building but without restoration it will crumble to pieces in few years. It's very small inside. Paid entry

The Temple of Augustus is located in the old Roman Forum area closer to the sea-shore in he old town of Pula. It is well preserved. The main features can be seen from the outside, however, for 50 Kn you can go inside where there is a small display of Roman sculpture and artifacts found in the area.

The Temple of Augustus was built between 2 BC and 14 AD and is the oldest building in Croatia (though of a very similar age to the Arena in Pula). We did not have the opportunity to go inside on our guided tour but the exterior is still wonderful. The temple was part of a triad consisting of three temples.... More

This is the oldest building in Croatia. The front part has been reconstructed because it was harmed in the world wars. It's in good condition, but very small. There is a small museum type thing that you have to pay the equivalent of a dollar or so to visit. It's worth a quick visit!

It's just a short walk from the Arena and it's on a lovely square. It's in very good condition as well.

The temple is a reconstructed version of a previous one destroyed durring WWII. Still it is pretty amasing to see how it was done back in those days. The square where it is standing, a nice place to sit in the sun and enjoy a nice cup of coffe and just to admire the view.

We were amazed to see how well preserved the Temple of Augustus was. Well worth the 10 minute stroll from the Pula Arena.

This is a small, skinny temple in one of the main squares right in the center of Pula, so it's easy to find. It doesn't look like much, just three columns and a set of steps but it becomes infinitely more impressive when you realize the antiquity of the building and its history. All the well preserved Roman ruins throughout... More
