Cafe Buža

About
Buža translates to “a hole in the wall”, and here you’re expected to do just that—walk through an actual hole in the wall to get to this hidden bar. There are steps that lead to the water, and adrenaline seekers try your hand at cliff jumping. Sitting perched on a rock ledge, it's also a great spot for watching the sun set over the Adriatic Sea. There are snacks, beer, and a limited selection of bottled wines on offer; bring enough Kuna to pay as it is cash only. And toilet facilities here are said to be basic at best. – Tripadvisor

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Missed this on my first visit to Dubrovnik in2008. This is outside the walls, on rocks directly on the Adriatic Sea with a view of Lokrum Island and the local boat traffic. Indifferent service; you go up and buy your beer. Cash only. No food. Still a one of a kind experience.

This bar is amazing. The only reason I didn’t give full stars is because it’s cash only and they only sell bottled beer. The location is amazing.

This has to be seen even for one drink. The uniqueness of chill on a beautiful cliff edge over the ocean watching the waves crash or people diving in. Very cool settings...cash only

This is a cute little spot through a hole in the wall of the old town where you can sit and watch the sun go down.
No food, just drinks.
Fit for purpose.
It's a must do.

Stunning setting right on the cliffs of the old town. A great spot for a drink in the afternoon. There are no toilet facilities and it’s cash only - so go prepared. Beer was around €6 a bottle.

The bar has a great location within the City Walls themselves, prices are reflective of this and the place is rammed for sunset so get there a bit earlier to secure a good spot!

This bare is a little hidden gem, one of our favourite spots in Dubrovnik. Out of our 6 days visiting the old town we visited 3 days. Drinks are a little pricey but so is most of the old town but can’t complain with the breathtaking views. Staff are friendly and we always manage to find a great seat. Would recommend to everyone

People raved about this place and said it was one of the best places for the sunset view, so we went up there at 5ish to secure our spot.

Planned to get some drinks to wait for the Sun go down, oh well, on the menu, it said “Cash Only” and we hadn’t got enough kunas on hand as we were leaving Croatia tomorrow, and the corresponding Euro price was listed alongside Kunas, so I got my Euro ready. When I was about to order my drinks, the lady at the counter said “Kunas only”. Okay, if you were not going to accept Euro, why did you bother to list the Euro price on the menu? It was so annoying!
