Beautiful island with pine trees and emerald lakes. Easy cycling path with plenty shades, great summer memory. We stayed overnight but felt it wasn't enough, would visit again and stay at least two full days. There was a river / lake where the water flows fast and it was fun to dive in and drift and snorkel.

The walks around the lake are beautiful and can be done at a leisurely stroll. If you are brave take a "walk" up the mountain to the peak. It... More

Perhaps I was spoilt having been to Plitvice a few days earlier. Mljet was a little underwhelming for me. Don't get me wrong, it is still a beautiful place, but I would recommend Plitvice before Mljet as its landscapes were more varied and special.

This island is absolutely stunning and especially perfect if you want a quiet place to swim, hike or bike. The locals are friendly and there is plenty to do for an active holiday! Scuba diving, biking, hiking, swimming, diving, theres a lot to do

We stayed here for 2 nights in June 2016 as we wanted a break from Dubrovinik. If we had our time over we would have spent a whole week here and skipped Dubrovnik all together! Mljet was a very chilled, authentic experience away from the hustle and bustle of mass tourism. We stayed in a basic but very welcoming apartment... More
