This war did not happen long ago. We had a local take us through this memorial and of the 32 people in his high school class, 22 of those faces were on the walls of this museum. It is a shame to see the young faces and for what....

We went to Dubrovnik with friends and their children. It is good for all of us to remember that this terrible war is less than 25 years back in time at a time where Europe is getting more and more nationalistic.

We visited the Memorial Room of the Defenders of Dubrovnik, and were extremely moved by the sacrifice of such young brave men. The video of the effects of the cruel bombardment of Dubrovnik will live with us for some time. It is a 'must visit'. Please do.

We visited the memorial and were really impressed with the pictures of all of the young men dying in this war! A good way to teach the future generations on how important living in peace and harmony is!

Our guide took us to this memorial and we learned about the war and present day tensions between Croatia and Serbia. There is clearly no love lost between these two peoples. The people in Dubrovnik are proud of their heritage and thankful for the sacrifice made by fighters for their cause. They have done a good job cleaning up and... More

This is one of a number of similar attractions. There is the museum on the top of the mountain. There is the at photo collection a few streets along. This memorial charges 25kr whereas war photo charges 40or.I suggest that you only need to chose one of them.

A very moving and lovely tribute to the Dubrovnik Defenders. They didn't die in vain as Dubrovnik is a free and thriving community once again.

If you want to understand what happened to this area after the fall of Tito's Yugoslavia, you need to visit this site. There is a news reel report that is quite overwhelming. Every war monger should see this to see what religious and tribal hatred, and inequality and narrow thinking can lead to. Depressing yet spirit raising to see how... More

This is what it says, a room, but it contains photos of the many young men who died defending Dubrovnik during the Homeland War in the 1990's. There are photos on a loop which pictures of the city during and after the siege. A very moving testament to man's inhumanity.

Interesting small exhibition on those that gave their lives in the 1990s conflict around Dubrovnik. Very personal, and makes us remember the futility of war at any time, in any place.
