Very unfriendly waiters.

Beautiful view, nice ambience but very unfriendly and pissed personal (one word answers don’t make you feel particularly welcome)
Only card payment for small bills, if you don’t have cash on you the waiter will roll his eyes at you.

Disappointing service
Aug 2021 • Friends
A beautiful view over split with excellent food, outside of the busy center. However, we were disapointed by the mediocre service. Our waitress, who seemed to be the manager, was particularly unpleasant and acted exasperated every time we ordered something. To be noted that we had ordered everything in advance (in the afternoon) to be more accomodating as we were a large group, but still waited at least an hour for our food. What a shame !

There is a payment card terminal at the bar, but when I wanted to pay, I found out that we only ordered drinks so we can't fill with the card. the service did not inform us about it before. Beer was warm not cold, aperol was tasty.

Good location, nice climb on the hill, excellent friendly service, not to forget the tuna salad with big grilled chunks of fresh tuna. Surprisingly good.

Nice view, average experience

The view is amazing, by far the best part of the experience. We ordered two glasses of Muskat wine (35 HRK/glass), but the receipt came out with a different price (45 HRK/glass). We asked the waiter about it, he admitted the mistake and corrected it. All in all, the staff was not extremely polite to begin with. Maybe our experience would have been different had we ordered something to eat.

Worth the Climb!
Jun 2019
For the best views across the entirety of Split and the surrounding landscape, a short hike is needed up Marjan Hill (pronounced Mar-Yan). At first, my girlfriend hated me for it. Once we reached Terrace Vidilica and sat down with a refreshing drink, I knew she was secretly glad. I ordered Ožujsko, a Croatian brand of lager beer. I’m not a big beer drinker but the setting called for it. Just to the right of the café is the lookout that offers stretching views of Split Old Town, the Riva and Split Harbour, bordered by the mountains and endless Adriatic.

To reach the café and lookout, head through the neighbourhood of Veli Varos west of the Riva and climb the stone steps. The area itself is pleasant to walk around and very picturesque, and it’s quiet compared to the heart of the city.

Buenas vistas

We sat down for a drink, they have a good wine list, cocktails and beer but what is worth it is their views. We got a seat on the front-line sofas and were able to enjoy beautiful views while having a drink. Price expensive but you pay for those views.

Great views and tasty wine
Sep 2019
We stopped here for drinks during our trip to Split and were so glad we did.

The wine was really lovely and the views are spectacular.

The service was a little slow but they were very friendly - giving us recommendations of which wine to try.

Definitely worth a visit

Arrogant and hateful staff
Aug 2019 • Couples
The waiter was incredibly arrogant and hatefuI - I asked him to make me ice coffee with only espresso, milk and ice, excluding ice cream and he replied something along the lines “you don’t tell me how ice coffee is made” and continued with extensive verbal abuse.

We did have our coffee there in the end because the cafe has a nice view and there’s no other cafe nearby. However, we have no intention of returning. This was one of the most atrocious behaviours that we’ve ever experienced from a waiter.

Although the food may be good and the other staff may be alright, I cannot recommend this. The visit has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

By the way, the ice coffee was really watery, containing almost no coffee or milk. I’m not sure if this was the waiter’s “revenge” but in any case it didn’t taste good.

Good views and panorama
Aug 2019
It is a neighbourhood restaurant terrace, with a privilage location where you can see from a top side the full old town of Split and in a Smart way, the owner has decided to increase the level of the terrace with better food and menú tan a normal cafetería.
But the food was not top food and it is probably a good place for seeing the sunset with a cocktail or a glass of wine tan to eat delicatessen food.
