This was an amazing tour Andrea was so friendly and welcoming and made our tour of sibenik so much fun. Her positive upbeat attitude was great. She has so much knowledge not only just about the history and the area and game of thrones but she gave us a real local experience. We felt like we got to know the “real” Croatia. I would highly recommend anyone take a tour with her.

A fun and informative tour. Our tour guide Ivan from Croatia Ministry of Tourism was so knowledgeable and fun to be with. He took us thru the Diocletian Palace & cellars and walked up and visited Klis fortress where real history was made and where various chapters of Game of Thrones was filmed. He showed us exact sites along with pictures where certain scenes were enacted. We saw "the" dragon used to film at Klis. After the tour we went and shopped for GOT souvenirs at a shop just for that! And got to sit and take pics on a replicate throne!

Very nice tour of places combined with photo and video depictions of GoT events happened in Meereen. Also interesting to se how GoT changed the settings with minimal effort to a place from a fantasy world or learn more about shooting details. Andrea also gave us a lot of details about the different historical phases of Split from Greek to Roman, Venetian or Austria-Hungarian periods. Overall it is recommended to both GoT fans as well as people who just want to learn about Split and Croatian history or just want to get some details about production/art design in movie making. Makes you want to watch the whole series again.
P.S the lunch was also great

This was a highlight of our time in the Split/Kastela area. Andrea was a wonderful guide and gave us a great mix of GOT information as well as the history of the places we visited. Loved the meal we had for dinner and the ambiance by the brook. I would highly recommend!

Spotted Andrea, carrying a GOT folder at the Statue of Nin outside the Diocletian Palace exactly at 4pm. She was exuberant , full of energy and was a lively story teller. Only 2 in my group of 5 followed the GOT series but her enthusiasm and delivery were able to captivate those who had little knowledge of GOT. Besides narrating the background and using photos of the GOT scenes to bring to live the locations where they where filmed, the exact clips on screened on her handphone were a great help in jolting our memories and piquing the interest of the uninitiated.

The tour was not all about GOT. Andrea weaved in the history of each location and provided an interesting slant of the locations. She was somehow able to make history sound cool. The tour brought us to the cellar/dungeon of Diocletian Palace which was worth a visit even without the association with medieval dragons.

But our favourite was the second part of the tour to Kliss Fortress. A van picked us up after the Palace tour and we were literally spirited to Meereen. Great photo ops at the Kilss fortress. We braved the drizzle to scale the fortress. The climb up was worth every step, giving us a good view of the untouched surroundings and a beautiful view of a 'double' rainbow. The little 'armoury' museum was also very interesting.

Last stop of the day was Zrnovnica watermill where the bathing scene of Missasndei was filmed (only photo screen shots were shown, not the clips, to the utter disappointment of the males in my group). After which we adjourned to the cosy Familja Restaurant by the river where we had a delicious traditional Croatian Peka dinner, accompanied with wine. All the while, Andrea was great company, regaling us with behind-the-scene stories of the GOT filming in Croatia and giving us great insights into the Croatians' way of life. She was a such an interesting conversationalist and made dinner so much more enjoyable.

Initially, the non-GOT fans from my family only grudgingly agreed to come along on what they through was an unnecessarily long GOT tour. But at the end, they enjoyed it thoroughly as the the pacing was quick enough to hold their attention yet did not feel rushed. And kudos to Andrea, they were able to retain her stories.

This is one of the best tours we took in Croatia. May seemed a little pricier compared to the 2 or 3 hour walking tour of the Palace but it's worth it considering the sites visited and the yummy dinner thrown in. We loved it! The tour comes highly recommended! If you're confused at the many options for GOT tours in Split, look no further. Make time for this!

We went on the combined Split and Sibenik tour. It’s a long day (12 hours) but we loved it. Going to Sibenik lets you see coastline on the way up and back, as well as on the short ferry ride out to the castle which was one of the film sites. Sibenik itself is a beautiful old city that has lots going for it besides being a GOT site. Take a snack since the traditional peka lunch on the way back wasn’t until mid-afternoon. Back in Split, we went to the GOT sites there, including both Diocletian’s place in the old town and a fortress high in the hills above town. As everyone has said, Andrea is an excellent host, very knowledgeable about the series and Croatian history and also positive and accommodating. Highly recommended.

This was a private tour, so we were met by Andrea at our hotel and the tour began in Diocletian's palace. Andrea navigated us through the narrow streets and we stopped at locations that were used as filming locations. Andrea would tell us the season, the context of the event, details about the actual scene and of course show us one or more pictures of the actual scene. This would be the process for the entire tour with the inclusion of showing video of the scene at some locations. Andrea also communicated details about how the different parts of the palace were used by Diocletian. Her knowledge of both GoT and Split history was exceptional.

The tour includes the underground of the palace where we got some interesting history facts about the underground how it had been used in the past, and when and how long it took to clean/clear out some of the areas.

We hoped in her car and proceeded to Klis Fortress. The process was the same here as it relates to GoT and Split history. The view from the fortress is amazing and there is a fantastic museum that contains various armaments used by those residing at the fortress over the centuries. Several of the items can be held if you desire.

We left the fortress and proceeded to Zrnovnica's Quarry and Mill. To my knowledge this tour is the only one that is contracted to take you to this location. This is a working mill where grains are ground, a restaurant and the location of the season 4 public river bathing scene between Grey Worm and Missandei.

The location within itself is breathtaking, the scene peaceful as it is quiet, and you are soothed by sounds of the water running down the river/creek. We had time here to wander along the creek as our traditional Croatian Peka meal was being plated for us to eat. The meal itself was fantastic. It was veal mixed with vegetables. The meal included wine, water, or soft drinks. We picked wine. There was plenty food and I found myself taking the bread and swirling it in the juices of the meal. That is how good it was. I wondered if I was embarrassing myself, I was assured by Andrea that it was ok and that the chef enjoys when people are excited by the meal.

Andrea at our request dropped us off at a location close to our hotel so that we could walk around in that area.

All in all, an amazing tour with an amazing tour guide. Andrea was knowledgeable, professional, engaging, personable, and friendly. As for her by name!
