Lovely old town but quite small. All done in a two or three hours. Nevertheless, a great mix of old and new. Must be on the tour!

Old Split felt a bit like a smaller version of Rome. Narrow alleys and a cozy atmosphere. We spent most of our nights in Split walking around in the old town. Good restaurants, friendly people and clean streets. Overall an excellent place to visit.

We loved old Split and just wondering around the many small pathways and alleys. You can turn a corner to find a hidden cafe or bar. It's fun to get lost here with many places to find.

A fantastic trip in time wandering through the laneways and finding hidden little bars, eateries, coffee houses and galleries. Hours easily spent wandering at an easy pace. Great views of Split harbour can also be seen from the top of the palace.

Exploring the area just outside Dioiocletian`s Palace was a fascinating insight into the birth of a new city out of the ruins of an older one.

Both Dubrovnik and Split are beautiful, historic sites. The former's glory is the walls and the harbour, the latter's is Diocletian's palace. If you have been to Dubrovnik, then try Split which will give you all you seem to... More
