Split Centre is a lovely place, compact, traffic free, full of historic sites, narrow streets and alleys. The bell tower of course, worth the climb to the top for great views. Plenty to see, good places to eat or have a drink and people watch....More

Beautiful old town. Wander all the little streets, site see, shop and eat. Don’t miss the cathedral, and bell tower. The are quite a few steps up so be warned.

So fun to meander through the maze of restaurants and shops of old town. Beautiful architecture and worth the time to walk through it all. Great restaurants in all the nooks and crannies.

The old town of split in the palace is wonderful to see. During my time there it was very crowded. We went early in the morning the following day and it was spectacular to see without all the people. Was able to see the real...More

We really liked the old city center even more than we liked Dubrovnik. The little streets have a romantic atmosphere. And although it was crowded we could easily walk true the streets.

Nikki, we had a kitchen in our appartment and only ate once. We were located just to the south of the market area just outside the old city. There are a couple of supermarkets in this area and things like prepared lasagne... More
