There are no more monument there. If to go in other side from Shevchenko park we can see Gorky park, which is one of the best in Ukraine.

The statue of Lenin was pulled down sometimes last year. It has been replaced with something else. Not really fascinating. Not much of a tourist attraction. This is where my school is, I go there daily. Never seen tourists there.

Typical soviet type central square. Mainly office buildings. Not very inspiring. May be far better in summer, but pretty bleak in November.

Statues of Lenin have been pulled down in many Ukrainian cities and Kharkiv lost its earlier this year. No decision has been made as to what will replace it. At one end of the square is a tent with displays featuring the conflict in the east. The end purpose is to raise money for the military. I find it disturbing... More

As any cultural heritage this is one of it and if it happens to be near it you should stop and have a look.

Its a shame that they removed the Lenin bust, because nowadays it just a big square with a makeshift tent that collects money for the war. Also, its a gamble walking on there due to the free for all access to cars! Human frogger!

It was believed to be the biggest square in Europe, though according to wikipedia, it is not true. But square is big indeed.
