Antigua has lots of history, we had a local tell us the whole history as we walk. We took plenty of pictures and there was not one picture. If you stay in Antigua it is walking distance.

A magnet for visiting tourists, and therefore crowded with sellers of various handicrafts. Near some excellent restaurants.

I actually stayed at a place just a few blocks away from Arco. It was beautiful, lots of music, bands, great little restaurants and all the fun you can imagine righ dead center of the city. A definite must!

If you travel to Antigua, you have to take a picture in front of this Arch. It's the law. ;) Just be careful not to get run over!
