An absolute must see on Nantucket! It's a bit of an uphill walk out of town to get to the Old Mill. But, it's worth every step once you get there! Be sure to get the tour. Ours was included with our Whaling Museum tickets....More

The Old Mill was one of the exhibit to visit if you started out at the Whaling Museum. I am so glad I stopped there. The mill is truly an engineering feat, especially since it has been standing since it was built in 1746! Wow....More

The old mill is not just a static building it actually grinds corn and the top pivots to get the best mill angle. I also know now what "three sheets to the wind", Keep your nose to the grind stone', and"grind to a halt" mean...More

We did not know that it is a museum. The staffs, Tom and Bill, invited us in and gave a detailed tour of the mill. I have to admit that I did not know much about mills prior to that but now I know more!...More

Check NHA website for times they are doing tours...or just stop by! There are often NHA folks there
