Viewed lighthouse from air and then walked to it blustery winter afternoon. Iconic. Great for pictures. Can observe boats including Coast Guard on maneuvers.

Few places in the world make me smile more than the time I spent at Brant Point fishing off the rocks as a kid, and now as an adult, it is one of my favorite places to visit. A short bike ride or walk from town, this is the gateway to the Nantucket Harbor and one of the oldest lighthouses... More

This historic lighthouse is first viewed as you approach Nantucket on the arriving ferry, but it is an easy walk from the pier also. It is on a sandy beach and you can watch the ferries as they travel back and forth. It is not open during the fall (Nov) when we were there. This is a great opportunity to... More

I have been walking here since the 1960's and it still is lovely even though there are a lot more houses around - on a clear December day the light is beautiful and if you go on low tide you can walk from here all along the shore - and find treasures along the way. Work was being done at... More

My friend and I stopped by the lighthouse while riding on our bikes to the beach. The lighthouse is a classic Nantucket photo opp but was not crowded at all (although we went in October/off season). Snap a few pics, take in the view of the harbor and Nantucket Sound and enjoy!

In the midst of high winds, surf and blowing sand, this lighthouse stands majestically at Great Point. We were able to see the seals, and lighthouse in one visit.

Extremely easy to access, just drive or walk up to the end of the street and walk across the sand to it. Beautiful, iconic lighthouse that you don't want to miss at sunrise - the sun comes up behind it and it's beautiful.

I love this lighthouse, but I'll admit that it's a special place for me because my wife and I got married about 10 feet from it many years ago. It's a very popular place to exchange vows on Nantucket. It's also the second oldest lighthouse in the U.S. (Boston Light being the first). It is the site of many many... More

Great view of harbor. Sandy and Shelly beaches was great to walk on. Clear water. Very little wave action. Great for photos!

Nice beach with a lighthouse at the end. Good view of the harbor, coarse sand with plenty of shells and sea birds.
