A visit to Phillip is another must do if your visiting Norfolk island in my opinion. But be warned it does need a basic level of physical fitness and also some basic climbing skills as you do need to climb up a steep hill to get onto the island. If you have poor balance or a fear of heights proceed... More

On my second visit to Norfolk I finally got the chance to visit Phillip Island - and I took it readily. I travelled with Dave Biggs from Charter Marine - so very impressed by this man's skill with the boat! Needless to say, getting onto and off the island was exciting - there is no jetty but a controlled jump... More

I admit I cheated. I knew I wasn't fit enough to land and climb up the island but I wanted to see it close up so I went out on the boat that dropped people off then took the rest deep sea fishing. It meant I got to go right round the island, hear the history of it and get... More

We had high hopes for the trip to Phillip Island .. for the landscape, bird life and flora. Unfortunately the tour can only go at the pace of the slowest person and on our tour we had a person with a heart condition. There is an initial climb and a reasonable level of fitness is required. Because of the lack... More

With a local guide leading us, four of us hiked to the top of Phillip Island. The views were incredible. The bird life was wonderful. It could be a bit arduous if one is not in shape. But the views are worth it.

A lovely multi colored mostly rock Island a few miles off shore. It was a fully vegetated Island at one point but pest species had to be eliminated and the lush greenery disappeared. It is slowly starting to return!

3 of us joined Dave Biggs trekking tour to Phillip Island 7 kms by boat across to Phillip Island. The morning we went was fairly rough going over so either wear wet weather gear or take a change of clothes. On the trek we were led by Karleen who was very knowledgeable about the history, flora and fauna of the... More

We did a boat cruise around the 3 islands. Phillip Island is so beautiful, and it is great to see the regeneration of plant life occurring after the removal of feral animals.

It's frustrating to read reviews from people who think they've visited Phillip Island which is an uninhabited island off Norfolk Island. There are no penguins - these are on Phillip Island which close to Melbourne, Victoria. Neither are their toilets or fuel outlets. Nothing. It's very beautiful and it can be seen as your aircraft is coming into land at... More

Having read the previous reviews for Phillip island, Norfolk Island, I am now confused and feel that the previous reviews were not for Phillip island Norfolk Island but instead for Phillip island Victoria. Phillip island, Norfolk Island does now have penguins, or koalas. There are no resorts or wineries. It is a very small uninhibited island 7km south of Norfolk... More
