We were led by a guide telling us the history from First Settlement to Second Settlement (Penal Colony) to Pitcairn Islanders settling. This area is steeped in history and has many fine buildings left from the second settlement.

My husband and I especially enjoyed the two Norfolk Island Museum 'tag-along' tours. The guides really brought what we were seeing at the different locations to life.

Kingston and Arthur's Vale was no. 11 in my visit to the 11 world heritage listed convict sites and what a way to complete this bucket list. Knowledgable tour guides and great places to visit.

The location is perfect (on the beach) and the wonderful green fields and hills are a perfect backdrop for the old buildings from colonial/convict days. some wonderful restorations and some perfect ruins all add up to a wonderful experience

Anyone who is interested in history will love the four museums. We took a couple of guided tours which were very informative and interseting.
