It may take a bit of a ride to get to an entrance point (if you bring your bike there). It's a flat ride on the trail through Lanesboro, Cheshire and Adams, MA. The scenery is awesome and the walkers and riders are very courteous and respectful. Fun with a friend and family!

This trail is totally paved and is great for biking, walking, and jogging. We rode bikes here in the summer and today we went for a 2 miles walk. The leaves and scenery were beautiful. The trail goes through woods, wetlands, and a large lake, and you have a great view of Mount Greylock.

If,like our family, your hometown offers only sidewalks and neighborhood streets to bike on, you will love this trail. Fully paved, my7 and 10 year old had no trouble doing 17 miles on this gentle trail. Fall colors were amazing and there were plenty of spots to stop and rest.

An absolutely beautiful bike trail. Trail is very well maintained. First couple miles through woodland areas and then opens up to a beautiful view of the reservoir. At mile 9 went to Whitneys farm right off the trail with my 10 and 3 year old. They loved the petting zoo, corn maze, and playground.

Bicycle ride for 22 miles on an exceptionally well maintained public rail trail. 1st 2 miles have slight uphill, which give you some coasting help at the end. We had a spectacular ride on a prototypical New England fall day, sunny with leaves turning colors falling from the trees and crunching under the tires.

Very nice 11 mile paved rail trail with a small grade at the start (Adams side). It would be glorious on a sunny day, bathrooms at both ends. Supposedly there is a bathroom midway but didn't see it marked - might want to check with the Information booth on the Adams end.

There is a variety of interesting terrain along the trail, including wetlands with beavers and narrow river plains. Only a small portion of the trail is near buildings, but you are never far from civilization. The nicest part of the trail, without a doubt, is the portion along Cheshire Lake, which is really a series of lakes. We saw a... More

My husband rollerbladed and my children (11 and 7) and I biked a few miles on the trail, beginning in Adams. It was easy and flat and very enjoyable for all ages and levels in my family. We will definitely go back when we visit the area again.

Very nice flat, fast bike path. Bathrooms at either end; the ones at the north end by the mall are just functional, the ones in the visitors center are much more welcoming. Plenty of benches line the path and there are a couple of sites for fishing, too. Worth a drive to.

I've round-tripped the Ashuwilticook trail 3 times over the past 45 days and it is a great rail trail. The first half of the trail (going north) is flat and the next five miles are downhill. I suggest that you start in Adams so you have a downhill return. Part of the trail runs along the Cheshire Reservoir and you... More
