I have gone to Sandy Point State Park to see the Christmas lights but never during the day. It was late afternoon on Sunday so there was plenty of parking close to the beach. I was surprised to see the golden color sand that left...More

I was there 7/23 with my family. The park was busy but not overcrowded. Since my last visit, the park has been taken over by the Spanish community. And apparently the park service lets them do whatever they want. There was abundant drinking on the...More

Great location and nice clean beach. We really enjoyed how diverse the communities were that attended. Excellent times! Highly recommend.

Cannot beat this park for the annual blue festival. Always have great acts - and, sometimes, the ones you have never heard of are the best "finds." Clean, full bathrooms, convenient, and on the water. A very nice park, with great festivals

Even though the park is large and many activities for everyone the beach was disappointing. The park is a trash free park where you take your trash home with you. If you bring food and drink in containers you take those empty containers and trash...More

Closest to D.C. bay front park, in the shadow of the Bay Bridge, A couple of issues regarding cost. First of all, admission is $ 4 per person, not per car. I can afford it however, a bit difficult for a large family. Second, no...More

A small beach along withy boat launch. nice views of the Bay Bridge.. Great for sunrises but not so much for sunsets. Not the best water to swim in but the chance of a shark is very low:)

No IDs needed to enter the park but there is a day use fee. Not sure about boating fees. Those probably can be found on the park website.
