The maine state museum is under utilized and not visited by enough school children. There is plenty of history and culture and the displays change. A day trip for a school activity.

The kids ran from exhibit to exhibit enthralled by everything they saw. Grampy walked behind and actually read some of the information, very educational for both ends of the age spectrum.

Maine resident of 38 years and first time visiting. Needed to fill some time while in the area and decided to check this out. Very interesting with lots to see and learn. Will return with my kids for a fun, but educational experience.

Enjoyed this place many times, when the kids were young. Also took some of my out of state friend, when they were visiting. Relaxing way to learn about Maine.

Really nice presentation of the States history and appreciation of its service me in so many conflicts. Emotional experience. Go before lunch as the Cross Cafe is excellent and exceptional value.

There were so many things to see and the staff was excellent at giving information about the area and restaurants. Would loved to have had more time to explore each individual exhibit more. Definitely something everyone would enjoy!
