It was interesting to see the history and view the process, but a bit over priced for what you get. Two hours before closing the samples were not being replenished and the icecream and soda pop samples were not to be had..

Self guided tour with explanatory signs and videos throughout. You start in a museum that details the history of the island and the company. From there you tour the greenhouses, go to a viewing area for the aging barrels of mash, proceed to the mixing area and end at a viewing area overlooking the bottling plant. The entire area has... I learned more about Tabasco than I ever thought existed on this absolutely beautiful island! The tour is self-guided, with a nice restaurant and gift shop on site. Staff are friendly and the admission is on $5.50 as of this writing.

Visited and toured today. So different from when we visited a couple of years ago. Museum is awesome and very informative. The walking tour of the plant area from seeing the seedlings of pepper plants to the finished product being bottled up to ship out was really fun. We ate at the restaurant there. It was okay, but to be... More

We visited the Tabasco Museum and Factory and loved it. We should have gone earlier in the day so as not to have felt rushed. If you want to really look at and read all of the information, you should plan on more than an hour! Great self-guided tour and nice gift shop. Lots of samples to try-ice cream, soda,... More

Visited here several years ago and was pleasantly surprised at the improved exhibits - such an interesting story and the upgraded self-guided tour is much more informative with expanded exhibits than the 'older version.' Staff very friendly and willing to answer questions and share stories. Enjoyed the ice cream tasting and the large selection of sauces and veggies to try... More

This is a walking tour encompassing several buildings...nice sidewalks between them...a few steps to one viewing area. The tour starts in the "museum" which tells the story from its beginning. Then you move on to a greenhouse to view the pepper plants in various stages of development. You get to see (either by film or in person) the barrel preparation... More

We enjoy plant/factory tours, and Tobasco's self-guided tour is laid out well and full of interesting information. The grounds are beautiful, easy to traverse, well-marked, and there is the smell of the sauce in the air. The self-guided tour starts at the museum (where you also pay the entrance fee; $12.50/ea included the nearby Jungle Gardens which are also highly... More

We decided to take a tour of the Tabasco factory and weren't disappointed. Very interesting history. The one thing that we noticed was the pungent smell of Tabasco almost anywhere you walked on the grounds. It's also hard to believe that all the Tabasco you see around the country, and even the world, come out of this small factory on... More
