Founded in 1986, Abita was the first craft brewery to open in the Southeast. Today, we produce 160,000 barrels of beer annually in a range of great tasting, unpretentious styles including Abita Amber, Purple Haze, and Wrought Iron IPA. Located just north of New Orleans, we recently completed a three-year, $30 million state-of-the-art expansion of the brewery that will increase our capacity to 400,000 barrels while introducing groundbreaking environmental advancements to the brewing process.

We went to New Orleans for our anniversary this year, and on our way out of town, we decided to stop by this lovely brewery. It was very cool to learn about their environmental sustainability efforts. In the tasting area, we were helped by several very friendly employees who were happy to tell us about the city and some of... More

I had such a good time at this brewery. The grounds are cool and there is a really cool feel to the place. Also, they only give you an hour, so it's hard to get hammered here (which is a good thing). You go in and watch a shirt history video before you head into the brewery for a short... More

My friends and I just went to Abita, took the tour, and had a wonderful time! I've taken multiple brewery tours and this is far and away the best. The staff, especially Kimmy and Kathy, are so accommodating and kind. Kimmy gave us the best tour and Kathy helped us pick out what we all wanted apparel wise (because they... More

Free soda samples and games. Tour free for kids and five dollars for adults includes 5 drink samples of beer and/or sodas. Friendly patriotic staff. Met two WWII veterans who visit periodically.

Awesome tour. Daryl & Rick did a great tour. At $5 for a guided tour, it's a good value and you get 4 tokens for 4 oz beers. An added plus is the samples they will give you.

We have made the Abita Brewery a stop on two different trips and it keeps on getting better. This is a growing Brew and they are working for perfection. The Technological changes made in the ten year visit gap were amazing. Try it, if beer is part of your bucket list, make this journey!

$5 for the tour. You get 4 doubloons which gets you four 4oz tastes from the tasting bar. Cool place to hang with friends at the tap room. I like that they had flights so we could taste a bunch of different beers.

We have drank Abita beer for years & finally got the opportunity to visit the brewery. It was a wonderful time! They have a beautiful facility & tap room. After the tour we sat at the bar for a few hours & tried samples of several beers including some you can only taste there. The staff was very friendly &... More

Great tour of the Abita Brewery. Dennis was knowledgeable and did an awesome job with answering questions. They have a nice gift shop as well. With the tour you get four 4 oz tastes of their beers and or sodas. The tap room will also be kind enough to let you taste what's new on tap.
