This is a well kept cemetery where many of our heroes are laid to rest. the vet that runs the place is full of history and is so kind and friendly. I went to find my Uncles grave and it is so well organized I found the grave in less than 5 minutes. The grounds are kept perfect and you just feel very respectful while you are there. I highly recommend every American put this on their to do list when they go to Panama City. It will make you proud to see how well it is kept.

This American cemetery is known as the resting place for Veterans of every conflict except Afghanistan. As you would expect of all American military cemeteries, it is immaculately manicured and maintained, but in a very challenging Panamanian jungle environment. It has by far the most beautiful landscape panoramas in Panama. It contains the remains of many civilians as well, having been the main American cemetery of the Panama Canal Zone. Staff are extremely helpful in helping locate graves or just providing information about the cemetery.

I'm a little surprised to see this cemetery listed here as I can't imagine what sort of attraction significance it really has other than one had to be born in the Panama Canal Zone in order to be buried here. My husband and his family are from the former Panama Canal Zone so they have family members born here and hence the reason for my visit. Other than that, it's not really a major point of interest in you come to Panama.

Just a bit out of the way and not often visited, this cemetery is beautifully kept. The guard may or may not let you in. Bring your ID (American passport if you have one). Wander amongst the tombstones to war veterans as well as "Infants." There is a great view of the Mormon Church from the cemetery.

We were informed this military cemetery for Americans who served is maintained by the same group that maintains Normand, Washington D.C. and other memorial cemeteries. Not a huge cemetery but quite impressive.
