A must-view if you're going to Panama. Check out the ships as they go in and out of the locks and then go into the Visitors Centre to get a better understanding of how it all works and the history behind it. Amazing stuff.

The visitor center was beautiful and extremely informative. Make sure you check out the 10 minute video (available in English and Spanish) before heading to the observation deck. The video clearly explains how the canal was built and how the locks work. It was great...More

You should probably try and call, when I went I say no boats. I was told by the locals around 3pm is a good time.
