Small, poor collections, only the shop is interesting.

There is not much to do or watch for the 10USD you pay. Only the museum shop can become interesting for finding some old advertise banners.

I had to show the taxi driver a map with the museum marked on it. This is a small, privately-funded non-profit exhibit space -- not a museum. No permanent collection on display, although the website indicates a permanent collection. On our visit, a two-room display of historic photographs of the Panamanian Red Cross. As the only art "museum" in Panama... More

The museum is interesting, and its $5 entrance fee makes it better value-for-money than the other attractions (i.e., the Panama Canal visitor center is $15). The collection is small compared to similar museums in other countries, but was well worth the trip.

There was only one exhibit which took up 2 rooms. No permanent collection. The rest closed for installation. Staff could not change a $20 bill for our entrance fee. In the middle of nowhere.

We love contemporary art and buy art all over the world. This museum is not worth the cost of the taxi to get you there or the $5 entrance. Very minimal.

This museum provides temporary exhibits of modern Panamian art. Some exhibits are better than others. There is no permanent collection on display. It's hit or miss whether the exhibit is good or even if you are allowed in to the building. The staff is rude and unhelpful.

I like to travel like the locals, so we took the subway to the 5 de Mayo station and walked a few blocks. The covered pedestrian walkway over the highway was littered with human feces. I'm not kidding - it was disgusting. So, take a cab. It's hard to find and it's rather small. You only need 20 minutes to... More

First: This place is IMPOSSIBLE to find. Asked eight or ten people along the way (after exiting the subway) and were finally advised to take a cab, because nobody knew where the museum or even the street was. By the way.........................., NOT an UNUSUAL experience in Panama City, which has almost no street signs. Museum is tiny: no larger than... More

When Panama took control of former US installations on the land adjacent to Martyrs Avenue one of its forward thinking moves was the establishment of the Museum of Contemporary Art on one of the reverted buildings. On a leafy hill overlooking the bustling city below the MAC serves as a lively showcase venue for Panama s modern artist as well... More
