We took a self guided walk around Casco Viejo. We simply followed a route featured on a number of information points throughout the city. These provided information on the sites in both Spanish and English. Tip: Take water and wear sunscreen it gets hot.

A cute little town, filled with traditional and wonderful architecture. Visit during the day and haggle with the local vendors, visit during the night and enjoy the abundant nightlife.

My friends and I rented a condo in this neighbourhood for a week and it was really lovely. We stayed near a church and the tolling of the bells was very pretty. If you're planning on renting a car, don't. The streets are so narrow...More
