In retrospect the Causeway is a good place to escape from congested Panama. There is a museum of biodiversity at the entrance and restaurants and points of interest such as the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute at the other end about 1.5km away. The Flamenco Marina area is a pleasant place to hang out. Our Grandsons liked the ice cream shop.... More

Biked along the causeway. Several different places to rent all different kinds of bikes. Beautiful view of Panama City. Don't miss standing and getting your picture taken by the Panama Sign. A good variety of places to stop and get a drink, ice cream or a meal along the way.

This is a beautiful road that unifies three small and close by islands, Amador, Perico and Flamenco. At the end of it you will find the Duty Free and it is on expansion.

An excellent location to bike or walk and then have a bite in the several restaurants around. Gorgeous view of the skyline of the city.

About a $7 uber from central Panama will get you to Isla Flamenco, the last of the 3 little islands on the causeway. The view of the bay is nice but there are few spots along the way to view the inlet to the canal. The marina at Flamenco is full of fabulous boats and you can hike up a... More

Beautiful view, still able to navigate successfully, but slow traffic due construction. Some restaurants not open - when done looks amazing.

Hire a taxi for a few dollars to explore the islands. Stop for a good meal at Alberto's and grab a table view a beautiful view of the cityscape across the bay.

This area is still under heavy construction but shows SO much promise. It's absolutely beautiful and once the construction is done, and once the Flemenco area construction is done, should become an amazing place to visit for shopping and dining!! At the time, it's only got a few places to shop/eat.

The Amador Causeway is worth a visit. It contains some excellent restaurants and other tourist attractions. You can rent a bike, quad or coach to peddle down the path, you can visit the marine life centre or the duty free shops. It has a gorgeous marina full of amazing ships and you can see puffer fish for free swimming around... More
