This is a good sized fish market with a pretty incredible selection at great prices. You must grab a few types of ceviche before leaving. Very refreshing in the Panama heat.

My partner and me were searching for authentic places to eat typical panaman food and when we asked everybody told us that we should visit this market. We couldn't try all restaurants and dishes but we loved the "ceviche" and "patacón relleno with seefood". Furthermore all locals go there to eat so it's a nice data to know that food... More

Enjoy stopping in any market place while traveling. We visit the fresh markets as well as the fish market where ever we go. This market was a little dirty and each vender sold the same product. It is located on the water and is a nice place to visit. Had some fresh fish and a cold Panama Beer. Enjoyed the... More

I found this market while visiting Panama and stopped by to eat. Very good variety of Ceviche and other local favorites. Smell Of seafood as expected ina market. I enjoyed Ceviche and a local beer.

We love to visit fish markets all over the world, and this one did not disappoint. I thought all the fish and seafood looked fresh and market in general was clean. Sure there was fish guts and fish litter around the place, but hey its a fish market. Lots of stalls and restaurants surround the market to give the chance... More

Perhaps interesting to see what kind of fish is caught and sold, but the place is not very clean. Is it because I visited in the afternoon? It just did not smell good and fish trash was on the floors. The restaurant upstairs is overpriced and the many places on the margins of the market were perhaps more attractive, but... More

It's pretty much what you'd expect from a fish market: smell of fish, lots of vendors, lots of restaurant choices. If you're in the area it might be worth a visit and a quick bite.

We always like to visit where local fishing-boats dock or seafood markets when we travel. Pretty much every type of seafood available was for sale at the numerous stands, a good variety of fresh ceviche; even large bags of fish roe. MdM is in a neighborhood inhabited by locals and therefore not in a sanitized tourista zona with well maintained... More

Traveling along the coastal strip from Punta Patella to the entrance of the Old Town is the Seafood Market where everything there is about the sale of fresh Fish. The prices are affordable and the experience is unique.
