I took Spanish classes here for 5 days in the small intensive group format. It was super easy to organise, and was able to pay a deposit via PayPal before I arrived to Panama. The team were really friendly, and made it super easy - with prompt and detailed replies to my questions. The lessons are taught all in Spanish, which is fantastic for building up your ability to hear the language (if like me, you haven't already!). The lessons also come with a very useful workbook, that I'll continue to work through now I'm back home. And the lessons are broken up with interactive exercises to keep the 4 hour period engaging. I also really enjoyed the bike ride tour with the lovely David, as well as the salsa lesson. The school is also offering an awesome online option during the current COVID-19 lockdown - give it a go, whether or not you're in Panama City!…

We did the salsa class offered - and it was amazing. Wonderful instructors. We didn’t do any language courses but we felt like we got salsa and language class together. Perfection!

I spent a couple weeks here studying Spanish, in which I had absolutely no background (my placement test was laughable). Even after the first day I felt like I had a solid foundation, and the confidence required to attempt to speak a new language to natives is very important. My instructors were incredibly friendly and made classes interesting, but I always felt like I was improving, not just getting through classes like I did in some language classes in school. After only a week I was better in Spanish than I'd been after an entire semester of another language! Everyone is encouraging and helpful, and the instruction is seriously top notch. It's easy to follow but you really learn the foundations of the language well, and the small groups at the same levels allow for very individualized progression. Afterward I was able to backpack through areas of Central America in chicken buses and collectivos with no wifi and no English speakers, so I'm very grateful for my time at Casco Antiguo! David treats his staff very well, and in turn everyone will treat you well.…

We planned on taking Spanish lessons here for one week, but ended up staying three weeks because we liked the school, teachers and lessons so much. The quality of the lessons is very good and the after-class activities are a lot of fun. Make sure you don't miss the bike tour with Kiki!…

I studied at Casco Antiguo Spanish School for 7 weeks and absolutely loved it! I had a variety of wonderful teachers, and the administrative staff is also amazing and very engaged with the students. The classes were fun and interesting, covering a wide variety of topics. The teachers and staff regularly requested my feedback and made an effort to tailor the classes to my language level and to my personal interests. My Spanish language abilities improved significantly! I also volunteered at a non-profit organization and stayed with a host family, both coordinated by the Spanish School. I absolutely loved the host family and have stayed in touch with them. My volunteer experience was also very enjoyable. I’ve studied at a number of Spanish language schools in a few different countries, and Casco Antiguo is my favorite!…
