This is a great hike to see both sides of downtown Panama city and the Canal ports. You may want to do this hike during raining season cause you may be able to spot blue frogs and deers

Go early as the humidity becomes a little too much to deal with. Not a long hike, but uphill. Once you reach the top, excellent views of Panama City and the Canal.
If you traveled quite a lot and seen this kind of view before then I doubt it's worth the visit in the heat. However, on the other hand if you are new to this kind of viewing then it's probably worth it.
The climb was worth it. Spectacular views of the city and the locks. Saw a Toucan, three toed sloth and a Capybara just off the road during the walk back down. Lots of other birds and lizards.Pity the peak is fenced off but, you can...More

Our taxi driver was our guide up the hill and very informative about the history. Not for the out of shape but not strenuous
Our City tour included a stop at Ancon Hill. There's little to do but walk around and take in the breathtaking views of Panama below and that was just fine!
