Kayak and Embera Village in Chagres Park
The Chagres River, at the time of the colony, this mighty river was a transit route between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Spanish settlers, pirates, gold diggers passed through its waters, bringing incredible wealth from one place to another; Many never managed to reach their destination. Their stories were lost in these waters surrounded by jungle, with the passage of time they became part of one of the wonders of the modern world, the Panama Canal.
Panama Outdoors invites you to join us on a kayak tour through this beautiful river. We will enjoy the historical comments of our guide, in which this river has been a vital part of the development of trade between both oceans.
We will visit an Embera village, where we will have lunch and offer us a sample of their traditions such as dances, music, crafts and history.

Review of: Bayano Cave
They picked us up on time and all the trip went smooth as explained by the guide. The cave is awesome and the guide took his time to explain each spot of the cave. We spent a little more than 3 hours inside the cave, it was amazing. It's worth it to have a waterproof camera or to bring your phone in a waterproof case because the pictures you can take are amazing!…

Review of: Bayano Cave
I visited Bayano caves with a couple of friends, we asked fairly last minute and were lucky another group was already going so we were able to join them. Luis picked us up in Panama City and drove us to Lake Bayano, where we got in a boat and headed to the caves, which is a beautiful ride in of itself. The caves are amazing, there are parts where it is dark and you see bats, and other areas where it opens up to canyons and the light coming through along with the green vegetation along the canyon walls are just spectacular. Luis provided helmets with lights, walking sticks (which were super helpful!) and life jackets and did a great job of briefing us on what to do and also explaining a lot of information about the area and the caves both before and during the tour. Before and after the tour we stopped a nearby restaurant to have breakfast and lunch. It was a long day but a wonderful day! It was a well organized tour and Luis speaks both Spanish and English and he did a great job of making sure we were well informed and safe (and took lots of photos for us, thanks!)…

Review of: Bayano Cave
We really enjoyed this tour with Luis. The cave was beautiful! It was a little scary walking into a dark cave but we got used to it almost immediately. We were rewarded by really beautiful vistas and structures. Even the kids were very excited. One of the best tours we have done. Luis was a treasure of knowledge about the area and was happy to answer all our questions. The lunch after the tour was delicious as well! Highly recommended...…

Review of: Bayano Cave
We took this trip at the end of the dry season, so the water was a little lower - only chest height! - but prepare to get soaked on this trip. The cave is not super difficult - it’s more of a crevasse - but the walking can be a little treacherous because it’s so rocky. But there are tons of bats, which we thought was pretty cool, and some interesting cave geology. Highly recommend wearing quick drying clothes do you don’t have to change after the trip. It’s pretty chilly water, so shorts or a bathing suit are not a great choice on their own. Sturdy shoes with a real sole also a must.…
