San Blas Islands are closed due to Coronavirus, we had cancelled all our tours until Mid November. We are not sure how you have been able to book, we will check that flaw. Your full reimbursement has been done. Thanks

Like the articles say, you HAVE to go to the San Blas. So you get that already so you’re now reading about tour options and tour “operators.” If you’re like me you’ll be trying to save money so you research a number of sites and descriptions. Most seem similar but not exactly the same and the pricing varies right? Yep, that’s just how it is. The tour companies set it up, but ultimately local guides and drivers are your “hosts” for the day. I would just pick a cheaper option with a company that has decent reviews. Full transparency, I went with “San Blas Adventures” but it could’ve been this one so I’m leaving the review here too. The whole experience was well...exactly that...an experience. From the morning pick up, the 2+ hour drive to the islands, the boat trip, etc - it was all an adventure, BUT ONE YOU SHOULD DO :) So, this is not for the feint of heart or those excepting a 5-star resort treatment. These islands are NOT developed and that’s the point...to get away! Embrace that and you’ll be fine. The drive to the islands is quite the treat. You’ll be picked up sometime between 5:30-6 and meet a random dude. He’ll get your bag loaded and then you’re off getting the others. At that hour everyone is pretty quiet, and probably wondering if similar thoughts - well this is not super organized. You do let you shop about an hour into the drive. You have around 20 min to get your items for the day and then you’re back. My driver didn’t speak a lot of English, but he knew and spoke Spanish so we did some short conversations throughout the drive. If you don’t speak Spanish, you might feel a bit more disorganized. The second part of the drive is AS DESCRIBED. See other reviews for detailed descriptions, but be prepared. IF YOU ARE CAR SICK, take Dramamine or whatever works for you. I was fine, but I was in the front seat. I found it more like a roller coaster ride than a car ride so that made it fun. There is some confusion at the “port” - be prepared, who you go to the islands with ay not be the people in your car (different tours). But listen listen and follow what they tell you and you’ll be off quickly. The boat ride...IS ROUGH - just read the other detailed reviews. FRONT OR BACK? That is a question. The back is arguably the better option as you don’t have the pounding and bumps like the middle/front, but there is a risk in the back....depending on how the wind is blowing, you will get more spray. Lunch is pretty basis, the reviews are right. However, it’s as listed. Fish, Rice. Salad. None were that great. But that’ not why you’re paying...you’re paying for the islands. SO ENJOY THE ISLANDS! Take that part in and love it. It is truly special. Take in the silence, serenity, and fact you’re in paradise. Relax, walk around, snorkel, SUP, it’s your choice. My favorite thing though was playing volleyball with the local guides at our last island. I guarantee the locals play every day (when they have the ~2 hours to wait). How often they play with tourists? I don’t know, but if you ask I’m thinking they’ll say yes to mix it up. Me and one other guy from my group played with them and it was GREAT! They are talented and it was competitive (and a work out!). Same story on your return boat ride, port re routing of people, drive etc. All in all, it’s an exhausting day but so freaking cool. Long review, but hope it helps set the stage. BOTTOM LINE TO ME - do this 1-day trip no matter what!

San Blas was a Blast!! From the adventure filled, scenic ride through the mountains of the Gunas Nation (be prepared for the many potholes along the way), to the really fun speedboat ride hopscotching across the Caribbean from one stunning island to the next, not to mention the amazing natural pool; I couldn’t imagine a better way to spend a day on our Panamá Vacation. Our driver Julio made the day even better, with his knowledge of the region, he shared points of interest both in Panama and the Gunas Reservation/Nation. He was also helpful as a translator for us throughout the day. Thank you for a fantastic day!!

We had booked this trip before we left to Panama. The tour agency is spot on with the organizing and communication. It's a good.thing we went with the tour because getting to San Blas is a bit tricky and you will need a 4×4. Everything went smoothly we did the one night in Ajuja and did the island hopping. The island was great and the food there was beyond my expectations. We did have a bit of a problem communicating with the natives but they wee very nice and understanding. The washrooms were kept clean and the island was beautifully maintained. I would recommend this trip everything went smoothly for us right from the morning pick up to the drop off next day.
