You can enjoy either the view of this beautiful lake or the experience to visit it. Must of the people use to visit it going through Ilopango. I will recommend you to have a nice view from La Paz Department, by taking the "Carretera Panoramica" on the road you can enjoy the lake food as well, on the very well... More

Great views of the Lake and the Islands from above. Boats to rent and restaurants with good food and cold beer

Lake Ilopango is a safe and most enjoyable about midmorning until about five o'clock when people depart to avoid traffic. The recreational area is guarded. There are jet skis for rental, boat tours around the lake, huts for rent where you and family can enjoy a water front picnic. Quite a few restaurants serve local fresh food that is prepared... More

I am a certified diver and have been diving here for several months. Due to the nature of the lake, which is in fact a crater of a super volcano that erupted hundreds (if not thousands) of years ago, the rock formations below are no less than magnificent! Amazing lake in a volcano crater... Full of history and beautiful views and places. Nice for waterskiing, windsurfing, and resting.

This place was beautiful. Had good food and the best view. You need to do your best to go here and spend the whole day here. Was one of the most relaxing days of my trip. Highly recommended.

I went with my son and grandsons my daughter in law and her mother who lives in Tejutepec it was great the people were very nice the food was good.

My guide for the city tour of San Salvador with Salvadorean Tours took me to Lago Ilopango as a favor for a good tip of course.
