First of all, I'm going to start by giving brief instructions for getting to the Botanical Gardens, as this would have been really helpful if we had known. It's not well-signposted! Take Bus 44 from the centre of San Salvador. I am not sure where...More

Incredible beauty! The giant bamboo is really something special, all the different plants and trees transport you the rainforest. Make sure you bring your camera. When you first arrive, buy some food for the turtles. Super cool experience.

After going downtown this was a great stop. Beautiful garden with small ponds with fish and many plant types and plenty of birds. Many great spots to sit in the shade and enjoy the peace.

This is not a great botanical garden. It's OK but not really that big or impressive. It's also a bit of a pain to get to. It made a pleasant stroll as such gardens always do, but I've been to many WAY better.
