A true jewel of the centro historico in San Salvador, this is a jewel of modern church architecture. From the outside, it looks like a rather oddly shaped, post-industrial bunker ... but inside the tiered stained glass is magical. Make sure to see the sparse, modern stations of the cross located to the right.

Outstanding. A very special church, because of its beauty, a story from the recent brutal past of the country linked to it, modern art in it.

This place is a "must" if you wish to know deeply the modern history of El Salvador. Also is an architectural place very interesting and unique.

If you look at the pictures from outside, it´s like that is an ugly building. But the magic is inside. The inside especially during the afternoon when the sun is shining, it´s spectacular. This is a different kind of church architectonically speaking. Are you able to spot the "eye". Take lots of pictures as you may miss some details, and... More

Just amazing how everything changes once you're inside. It looks like a warehouse from the outside, and is just sublime once you step in.

Went to this given its lofty status on trip advisor (and fact there's little else to do in San sal). Very nice, ornate church but not going out of your way for. Mass was on while we went so that was nice

Do not be deceived by the outside of this church - it is one of the most interesting works of architecture that I have seen. It is all concrete, steel and glass that is put together beautifully.

From the outside one has not a clue of the beauty inside. Once you walk inn, the space opens skyward and lets you appreciate some very intricate and beautiful stained glass. Its a mst see if you are in San Salvador

You will never imagine how nice this church is if you only look at it from the outside. The way light gets inside through the different windows in different colors is really amazing. I am not a huge fan of visiting churches, unless they are significant by some reason, but this is one church worth visiting for sure!

From the outside this church looks inconspicuous and hardly worth a visit. But on a sunny day, the inside is enchanting! The stained glass makes the whole place magical. And it was built with no pillars, so you have a sweeping view of the place. Worth a visit inside.
