Francis was early to pick me up at my hotel and very friendly and professional. Once we arrived at the waterfalls he actually hired a local guy who lived there to show us around and give us more details. Francis doesn't need this service but does it to help out his fellow El Salvadorians who would otherwise be out of work. The hot springs were the PERFECT temperature and just like being in a natural hot tub. The trash around the water is horrendous but they're working on finding a solution to this ever worsening problem. Pack it in, pack it out! Next we went for lunch at an amazing artistic cafe where I bought a piece of art because it was so unique and irresistible. Francis is a wonderful guide and now a friend who will do whatever he can to make sure you have a beautiful, comfortable, informative trip in his country. It's also nice to feel comfortable with a guide, when you're a solo female traveler.

Awesome for expert climbers or if you want to challenge yourself how far you can go. With guides that are very helpful along the way like Francis and Danny your feel like your going up the volcano with friends. It is challenging but it was worth it for the adventure and the beautiful views and once your up there you feel like you conquered the world at least that’s what I felt 😀

Just got back from awesome hike. It is challenging and with Francisco as the guide very informative and fun. Once we climbed to the top then we were off to the lake for lunch, beer, and music. Would highly recommend because how often do you get the opportunity to see a Val an on up close.

We booked a hiking tour to the Santa Ana volcano and lunch at Lake Coatepeque after. Herbert came to pick us up at around 7:10am and was early, so he kindly waited for us to have breakfast before we started our drive to the volcano. On the way there, Herbert shared a lot of interesting information about his country and the volcanoes. When we got to the volcano, unfortunately, the weather was too bad to climb up. The park rangers only opened the third viewpoint and allowed tourists up as far as that. Herbert was great with offering alternatives, and suggested that we either climb the Cerro Verde and Izalco or drive through the Ruta des Florès. We decided to go with the hike, and he kindly arranged for us to head up the other two volcanoes instead. Herbert was enthusiastic and a fantastic hiking partner. He waited for us when we slowed down and he would let us walk ahead at times. He also took lots of beautiful photos for us! After the hike, he drove us to the lake where we had lunch at a restaurant he recommended by the lake. Food was fantastic! Would definitely recommend this tour, and ask for Herbert as your guide!!
