This place is huge! But one of the highlights is the microminiature museum. That alone is worth the price of admission. Lots of amazing gold work, frescoes and art. The catacombs are a bit creepy, but fascinating. A highlight of Kyiv.

These white-walled stone tunnels run underneath the Lavra and contain the remains of various saints. People come here to pray daily so all visitors must be silent and respectful as they pass through. A fascinating, if claustrophobic place. Staff / volunteers were very welcoming.

Amazing historic and spiritual place. The churches and the monasteries are beautiful. The caves and saints there are one of the most spiritual places in the world.

No need to reserve. Wait few minutes and you get your private guide from the monastery (not expensive at all).
