An impressive exterior and surrounding, some part dating back nearly 1000 years, with some wall painting touched up, and not so well to be honest. Nevertheless you need to take 20 mins to see inside. There is a miniature cityscape model of Kiev within cathedral.

Great asset to add to your list of things to visit. You won't regret going if you can get a guide to fill in the history its even better

Great architectural building, so many beautiful paintings and history to this place. It has to be seen as no description could capture it perfectly.

The exterior is more impressive than the interior, but take your time to appreciate the ongoing restoration work and wander around

Looks interesting from the outside, but the people working at the cathedral are a bit unfriendly. You have to pay extra in order to enter the cathedral.

The outside of the cathedral is magnificent. Inside, although there is a lot of history, I felt it to be drab and lacking spirit.

We only went into the bell tower but more extensive tours were available. Very good views of the rest of the cathedral and of city from the top

Stunning on the outside, but wasnt that bothered about going in as I'd been to countless other churches and cathedrals already, but once entering it really impressed. The cathedral is now a museum and really very interesting, and the view form the bell tower is...More

This is a beautiful cathedral. However, the exhilaration of seeing it is somewhat dampened by having to pay for every area individually - the Nell tower, the grounds and inside. Then of course there’s the gruff nature of the gate keepers.
