An important part of the Kiev image, this cathedral and campus should certainly be part of any tourist visit to the city. We had a bit of difficulty buying tickets as nobody in the office could speak any English or make any attempt to let...More

Impressive example of a typical Eastern European cathedral. Worth a visit and great views from the top. You don’t need long when your there and the entrance fees are minimal (UK Perspective) so you may as well get tickets that cover everything. A definite visit...More

The Saint Sophia Tower is beautiful and worth the climb. After the enclosed circular stairs, the adventuresome will take open stairs up two more levels to get a great view of the city

Large grounds and a beautiful cathedral. Decent information available in English, and a wonderful display of items from St Michael's. The "Easter Egg" mosaic was fascinating.

We went up to the very top of the bell tower and it was definitely a good idea. Breathtaking view to the city. The stairs are narrow and old, take care. The ticket is not expensive and taking photos is allowed.

Ok sight but they could work harder on making it easier for people that dont speak english. Nice art and remains. Not very interested staff. If they want tourist make it more accessable.

It's not far from the main square or the golden gate. It's different from most cathedrals that you have probably seen.

For me this was the highlight of my visit to Kiev. This ancient cathedral is an astonishing building and I was bowled over both by the outside as well as the beautiful inside. If there is only one place you visit in Kiev this is...More
