I was looking forward to visiting this museum, I purchased an audio guide as I read there is not much English. The audio guide was boring, I'm not if it was the accent as it was slightly monotoned which made me lose interest. The admission...More

It is also called the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the 2nd World War. In my opinion, it is the most attractive site in Kiev because of its uniqueness and appealing. Besides, the Motherland Monument is just nearby.

If you are interested in old Russian Tanks, Jets and canons this little museum has it all. Sadly most descriptions are only in their language. I did enjoy it.

This is a great museum for anyone interested in the Second World War. The entire complex, including the Motherland Monument and Eternal Flame, are worth going to, but the museum is certainly worth the stop. The exhibits are varied, featuring both well-preserved items and rusted...More

I am very interested in WW2 history and have visited numerous museums and sites. This is certainly amongst the best of the sites I have visited. Many WW2 artefacts and a lot of military equipment, especially tanks and Cold War aircraft and missiles. It is...More

You can figure out a fair amount of what the various items are. But you're missing a lot because all they have in English is a single page describing each room. They do have English descriptions on some vehicles outside proving that Russia provided tanks...More

This was fun to see, and quick little walk around (cost maybe $2.00). Only takes a few minutes. Would not be a good place if the weather is bad.

A good museum with many vehicles on display. Very good if you're into tech, also interesting for everybody else, but you should already know about WW2 and younger history in this region.

I would use Uber or another taxi app. Safest and with a good price.

Most of them outside - technique. Smaller War Museum is inside. We were there for about 2-3 hours.

Yes I agree you need 2 to 3 hours, mainly because much of it is outside and spread around and the hill top park it is in and the views it gives are a large part of the visit
